I am currently a student at Ayrshire College, pursuing an NQ Level 5 qualification in Computing. I also do a significant amount of self-study (such as learning WordPress!) and I am eager for some practical work experience, with an ultimate end goal of becoming a web or software developer and maybe even studying Computer Science at university.

My experience with development began in 2020, when during lockdown I took some courses on the popular digital skills course website Udemy – which I’m actually currently using to learn WordPress. Back then, I studied HTML and CSS, being able to craft some good basic websites over the space of a few months.

Currently, my study interests include JavaScript and it’s associated frameworks such as React.js, WordPress/PHP, and gaining a greater understanding of UI/UX design and applying that to my web design and development skills.
My Skills
Web DESIGN USING HTML & CSS
When I began my web development journey in 2020, I was motivated to learn some digital skills to perhaps start a side hustle for some extra income. I was drawn to learning a bit about HTML, and I didn’t realize at the time what a passion it would become. Today, I have several years and many hours across multiple self-made and self-studied projects, many of which you can see on my portfolio page.

Web Design Using WordPress
Used in over 40% of websites worldwide, the simplicity and ease-of-use of a WordPress website makes it an obvious choice for many individuals and small businesses out there. A more recent learning experience for me than HTML & CSS, I am nonetheless enjoying learning about WordPress development a lot!
